Get your swimsuits out, it’s time for a Caribbean vacation!! You won't even need a passport because you'll be going to the U.S. Virgin Islands. The U.S. Virgin Islands plus size Fashion Weekend is back! Billed as FashionlinkVI or FVIFW this fashion show is an annual, international, plus size fashion event scheduled during Memorial Day weekend, Thursday May 21 to Sunday May 24, 2015.

The first FVIFW was held in St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands. Feel free to visit FVIFW website to see the line up of celebrities and models who attended last year. I’ve been talking with the organizer, Anastasia Rivers, and I will always have the inside scoop on this show for you guys and will update you on the event, model castings and guest stars from now until the date of the show.

FashionLinkVI is looking for models!! They are casting in 4 places in the U.S., the D.C./Maryland stop is tomorrow, Saturday, 9/27/14!

FashionLinkVI Fashion Weekend's mission is to attract attention to the U.S. Virgin Islands while attracting the best plus size models, designers and others in the fashion industry.

The organizer, Anastasia tells me that last year the event was covered by Marie Denee of Curvy Fashionista, Patrick Riley, independent writer and Producer of Oprah and Wendy Williams shows, along with CNN representative Audrey Irvine. So you don’t want to miss out on the opportunity to have fun in the sun on beautiful U.S. Virgin Islands. Don’t settle for being an audience member, attend the casting competition and you can rip the runway too.

They are looking for male and female plus size models. They will select the top five from each casting then they will announce the finalist within a week of announcing the top five. The winner will receive an all-expense paid trip to the Virgin Islands, the other four finalists from each city will have the opportunity to participate in FVIFW at their own expense with special discounts from a travel agent.
